Kevin Pangos scored a game-high 21 points and was named most valuable player of the tournament as Ontario defeated host British Columbia 102-48 last Sunday in the national midget basketball championships in Kamloops.

Pangos, who had 22 points in a 97-69 semifinal win over Quebec in the semifinals, was named MVP for the unbeaten (6-0) Ontario squad in three games.

The Holland Landing resident is a Grade 11 student at Dr. Denison Secondary School in Newmarket.
