A 55-year-old man has received a conditional sentence in connection to a 2006 fatal motor vehicle collision in Vaughan that killed a 34-year-old woman.

Today, Mr. Justice A. Stong sentenced David Clark to house arrest for a period of two years less a day.

Mr. Clark was also given two years probation, which includes 240 hours of community service.

He also received a three-year driving ban.

In April, Mr. Clark pleaded guilty to the charges of impaired driving causing death and impaired driving causing bodily harm

On May 16, 2006, a silver Nissan Maxima, driven by Mr. Clark, was southbound on Huntingdon Road south of Major Mackenzie Drive.

A blue Honda Civic, operated by a 30-year-old Vaughan man, was travelling north on Huntington Road when it was struck by the Maxima.

The passenger in the Honda, a 34-year-old woman from Vaughan, was killed in this collision.
