Residents who want to learn more or would like to comment on the proposed plans to extend the Yonge Street subway line to Richmond Hill, will have their chance on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

You will be able throw your two cents in during the latest public meeting where Town of Richmond Hill staff and representatives from the York Region Rapid Transit Corporation will lead the informative discussion to be held at the Premiere Ballroom at 9019 Leslie St.

It is expected that the expanded subway line will bring jobs and commerce to Richmond Hill, as well as improve public transportation access to and from York Region.

The proposed development remains at the stage of an environmental assessment, but involved parties are hoping to get the green light sooner rather than later, so that the first stages of the proposed project can be considered for capital funding in the upcoming Provincial budget.

The public meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
